Are you hoping some of that vast red farmland in the middle of the country turns blue? I'm more pessimistic than that. Those guys will more likely stay home than fill in the little circle next to a (D) candidate's name on any ballot. They'll grouse about trump and expect some other (R) to fix it.

For starters, as a very good estimate, take the number of excess deaths DURING A PANDEMIC. The numbers rapidly increased at a particular time, and then rapidly decreased upon the availability of the exact vaccine targeting that virus! It's not that hard!
