  1. The US doesn’t have football hooligans following their local soccer club~ soccer has been slow to take off in most of the US south & Midwest…

    But college sports is where a lot of folks often don’t really like sports spend their fan money because the illusion they’re part of their “Alma maters”…

  2. They bring in billions of dollars a year… there’s a multibillion dollar industry built around college sports…

    The main idea is to gain fans & money not being spent on pro sports…

    Some folks can’t get behind a pro team… but their “Alma mater” on the other hand~ $100 jerseys & etc.

  3. Accreditation standards are generally pretty consistent…

    Getting an education means learning the basic knowledge consistent with the requirements of that degree…

    College Athletes often participate in “special” degree programs that center around PR or promoting their sport.

  4. College Athletic programs are set up to protect an athletes eligibility… period. They’re an “investment” & they do not care if they learn, as long as they play…

    As for Ivy League Schools, you can look at some of the high profile morons they’ve graduated~

    Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, George W & etc…

    I’d put any UC/west coast campus up against any similar sized Ivy League school..

    The Ivy league is where you go to make political connections not available to lower socioeconomic classes…

    There’s a nation full of better places to get a working education~
