The translating of slang to "ordinary words" really bugs me a lot. It's the enemy of poetic usage, like in songwriting or alternative novels & god forbid anyone use language based on cultural understanding. It's insideous stupidity. The Smithsonian censorship is pure sacrilege to history & humanity.
As it should. I wonder if he would translate "vendu" as traitor, sellout, or seller of goods. I wonder how he would translate "elbows up" "Muskolini" or "the gangster from Mar-a-Lago" or "Trumpian"
There is a difference between Germany and the USA - Canada/UK speak English. American reactors who were doing fluff pieces on Canada/UK are now starting to do reactions to reports of ICE disappearances. I have dizzy spells so IQ goes from fluff to serious when not having a dizzy spell.
