I’m sorry I couldn’t leave it. I feel you’re grossly underestimating the threat, irrationality and ideology driving the Trump administration. We can’t unwind 🇨🇦 in 6 months nor loose 10’s of 1000’s of jobs by responding emotionally. It’s time to be ruthless, think long term and act like it’s war.

Not sure what additional data points you are waiting for? Unfortunately, we have to watch because it’s in the government lies and disinformation where we will see the danger to other nations.

We don’t have proof of anything yet. I believe he is going to the 3rd option but trump is so volatile and our dependence so great, our financial position so weak it can’t be done with public declarations. Moving away from the US must be done as quietly as possible + wait for there economy to ⬇️

The old Ottawa doctrine “when you have problems with the US, just buy American” used to work and is one of the reasons the government committed to the F35. Trump changed the rules. Carney cant get re-elected giving the US 100billion for fighters built in the US with 50 year service contracts.

You have to think the US has deep influence in our dod. They are probably thinking about integration. But what we don’t know yet is what our new European security pact will be, (loans etc) and the political climate has seriously change. All of this is above my knowledge base
