Maryna Hryshko was killed by the Russian attack on #Kyiv last night.
She was just seventeen and an only child of her parents. Maryna's dad is defending Ukraine.

Worse - from the end of the Tudors to the People’s Budget. The Civil War, the Glorious Revolution and the Acts of Union, absolutely crucial to understanding what our country is and how it works, are completely neglected.

TIL: The young-ish looking fellow in civilian clothes and top hat to the right in the Japanese delegation at the surrender ceremony was a diplomat in their foreign ministry named Kase Toshikazu.

Hardly ever go to pubs in central London because kids. Nostalgia for former FT haunt the Boot & Flogger in Borough. Nicest pub near home in Herne Hill is Half Moon, where Dylan Thomas used to drink. Once seriously rough (the attached former barred list is legendary), now v nicely restored Victorian.
