It had some good bits. It had some bad bits. It was certainly a film that was generally enjoyed and not taken too seriously until a bunch of people thought Mike Judge was a prophet and not just a guy who likes making funny stories.

Donations from organizations and businesses being outlawed is a realistic alternative that many countries use, as well as individual dono caps. The US is the only country that turns their elections into multibillion dollar spectacles with celebrity cameos and walk ons, maybe stop that to cut cost
