Generally I tell em' when I'm going to show up. If its before check in I ask if there is a safe place I can put my bags (if flying in) or if I can park (if driving) and just chill in the lobby or somewhere. I've never not had after 4pm only though. Weird.

Kraken gets me. Too bad I cant drink any. Maybe someday I can again (health reasons related to allergy reaction with metal, long story).

I always sucked at grammar stuff, but I did always use the "-" in a similar way which all my writing teachers hated. Really though I'm too lazy to use it cause ... I think you need an alt key or something... 🤔

Totally agree. One of my exs liked to say similar things. He would even fabricate emergencies so I would be worse off emotionally than him which then made him feel better about things. He was later officially diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

I find it narcissistic to force someone else to deal with one's problems or to censor others in a public space because that individual is having a bad time.
We're supposed to be supportive, but taking offense to someone being grateful/celebrating something or someone screams insecurity.
