    NEW: The Library of Congress told us in a statement that it messed up and blamed the missing text from the constitution on a coding error. A Library of Congress spokesperson said it was due to a missing XML tag in the code when the site was being updated to include analysis.

    The U.S. congressional agency confirmed to TechCrunch that the removal of key sections of the Constitution from its website were removed in error. The full text has now been reinstated.

    Library of Congress tweeted out a short while ago saying the sections from the Constitution were removed due to a "coding error." We've asked for more details, including what the coding error was, if known. No response yet.
