The President lying through his teeth and dragging the military into occupying an American city is a little bit bigger as a story than “Trump said/city leaders dispute.” Isn’t it?

City leaders have said this, have they? Are they right?
Because if they are right, and federal crime statistics are accurate, it would mean the President is pushing the US military into an American city on false pretenses — basically, that Trump is lying through his teeth about crime.
