    Vance spouted this same propaganda during the VP debates in 2024. Housing access and affordability have been driven by interest rates, construction slowdowns, restrictive zoning and a Covid-era spike in demand. Immigrants — who typically rent rather than buy — aren’t causing house prices to rise.

    But, the congressional Republicans tell you that your real problem is trans people in sports, immigrants, women’s personal choices. Oh, and btw, if you fall ill and can’t afford healthcare that is tough luck, because you know, immigrants.
