If we ended gerrymandering and overturned Citizens United, made bribing politicians illegal again, the GOP wouldn't win the House or Senate for 1,000 years. Throw in term limits for Supreme Court justices, and we’d finally fix the court that legalized this corruption.

  1. The enormous number of difficult problems we have but don't face indicates the more important deeper problem: Our society is deeply immoral. This is what we must repair - the rest will necessarily follow. If we don't, that's the end of us.

  2. Tom Cotton is one of the worst hypocrites in the GOP, and that’s saying a lot. His pose as a patriot is just that: a pose. He is a partisan hack who bends over backwards to ingratiate himself with Trump.

  3. Oh, so there are degrees to it? And you Republican jerks never cross the arbitrary line you invent, correct? These jackasses had better hope for a turnout like they had in 2024 or they are going to lose all these new districts.

  5. I do not agree with Illinois gerrymandering, but since Republicans have been doing it - we need to stop playing the nice guy and 2 wrongs dont equal a right party. Gerrymandering needs to be banned across the country, so everyone plays fair.

  6. I know! Amazing isn't it? But they know they aren't popular with the majority of Americans so they have to cheat in order to get/retain power. Scary to think they are getting away with it too.

  7. Just remember, every fix to a corrupt system of laws is just a new mechanism for those looking for loopholes to exploit.

Ask yourself, how could any particular fix be turned against the people by a scheming wanna-be dictator?

  8. Welcome to "Project 11780"—where democracy is bent like a Texas pretzel. No more threatening calls to Brad, no more missing votes—just redraw the lines until losing becomes impossible. Gerrymandering: because why cheat one county when you can rig the whole map? Welcome to elections MAGA style!

  9. Means nothing if the Reich Wing Propaganda Networks of Subversive UN American Disinformation are allowed to operate their lie machine unabated. That is how the cult was INDOCTRINATED. The foot soldiers that proved Khrushchev right. Enabled by the GOP’s revenge against the Democrats.

  10. REPEAL AND REPLACE the Reapportionment Act of 1929.

Damned near 100 years for that pile of shit has been WAY more than enough!

Enact Wyoming Rule to sensibly expand the House, and return to pre-1929 districting laws (no gerrymandering!).

  11. Good luck with that. Sorry for the cynicism but come on -here in TX we can’t change our state constitution through citizen referendum, we have to have the legislature change it. Do you think they are going to do that? No

  12. Do you remember when Obama first won & all sorts of folks said the US was post-racial (whatever that means) & the Repubs could never win again? Or after 1/6, Trump is done forever? I'm for what you're for, I'm guessing, but not believing the long-term predictions.

  13. Tom Cotton sounds a bit confederate....well, I'm guessing he'll introduce a no gerrymandering bill ASAP. However, I think he really needs a good night sleep first.

  15. Yep all of the above and anyone running higher office and/or being considered for a cabinet position should actually be VETTED and qualified for the job! Course these cabinet are only there because they are dismantling the agencies - so he and he alone king will reign supreme leader!

  16. We could make gerrymandering obsolete and elections much more democratic and politics way less hopelessly, brainlessly partisan by taking both a dem and a rep from every district, and making the general elections solely about power in DC. (each congressperson is worth all the votes they get)

  17. The Republicans are not about to end the practice while they see it as a way to keep control of the House with a minority of voters.

  18. Instead of raising a solidarity fist in the air to the insurrectionists, and afterwards running from said insurrectionists, do something about gerrymandering. ALL gerrymandering. I’ll wait

  20. While I generally land on the side of fairness and following established rules, I am way beyond that now. We need to fight with everything we've got. Later on we can put the pieces back together. Right now we have to win.

  21. Obama & Eric Holder have been working hard for fair maps. They have made some progress but the things that you listed are the only things that will save this country.

  23. Which is the reason they’re doing all this…. It’s the only way they can inflict their evil agenda on the American people!

  24. Look at Tom Emmer’s district in MN. Gerrymandering is a plus for republicans. They know demographics are destiny. Conservatives are LOSING the demographic game. Zip codes don’t vote. People do.

  25. OK, I will make it easier and ask this of just 2 of your points, overturn Citizens United and institute term limits for Congress. Very simple question...how?
