The whole transgender thing could have been handled by appeals to live and let live, leaving the thornier issues (sports, bathrooms) to local case by case decisions.
But noooo ... Dems only know how to turn the civil rights protest crank.

I consistently say that Republicans talk about themes while Democrats talk about policies. Things like tax credits, which is lame. Democrats need to talk in themes that resonate.
But Democrats must also jettison what the right has successfully labeled as "woke." It's just killing the center left.
