The whole project of school vouchers is to get out from under the onerous burdens of public scrutiny and the law so that the Right can indoctrinate their kids and extract wealth from taxpayers.
At least seven private schools in Texas have issued personal loans, often reaching $100,000 or more, to their school leaders under terms that are often not public. Such practices would typically violate laws if they were public and charter schools. W/ @texastribune.org
