But this is surely why we need to hang onto ECHR (despite its faults) and our own UK Human Rights legislation. However, all we see in the media is calls to remove ourselves from ECHR. No-one has publicised WHY they were brought in and the protections they facilitate. That's the failure!

Whoever is advising Labour strategy is an idiot. Simple politics: if I support Reform, I'll vote Reform, if I oppose reform I'm not going to vote Reform lite Labour. Labour needs to ditch Starmer if it wants to survive and get a "big tent leader", like George Lansbury, who saved it in the 1930's

Petition: Ensure plurality of political coverage across UK broadcast media at all times
We want to ensure that a plurality of views from all political parties in Westminster are represented and the nations parliaments are heard all year round, not just election times. The rules for coverage during elections should apply at all times.

There are 69.23 million people in the UK.
Last year, 36,000 people arrived on small boats.
That’s a 0.052% increase to the population.
Not 10%. Not even 1%. Not even 0.1%.
0.052%.
If I baked a cake, that wouldn’t even be a crumb.
Why the fuck is it THE story-of-the-day in the UK, every day?

🥳 With a few days left of August - a notoriously bad month for news - Nation Cymru has beaten its all time monthly record for visits to the site.
🙌🏻 The readership is also up 30% on last year.

I’d like to think that wanting to make a deal with the actual fucking Taliban wouldn’t be a vote winner…
To be the candidate for British Prime Minister of both Donald Trump and the Taliban is not a pitch that has ever been tried before

#otd in 1881, The Sunday Closing Act 1881 was passed. The act by the UK Parliament prohibited the sale of alcohol in Wales on Sundays and was the first act specifically applied to Wales by Westminster since the 1542 Act of Union.

The overplatforming of Reform and lack of coverage of bigger parties is the huge elephant in the room in most newsrooms atm. Broadcast journalists (not paper hacks) taught to be fair & balanced seeing saturation coverage.Sign the petition let’s create a debate. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/71...

Nigel Farage and the Reform Party’s Taliban Tax means sending hundreds of millions of taxpayers' money to an oppressive regime that British soldiers fought and died to defeat.
