You basically are so focused when you have the character on that even involuntary actions are transferred. Thats dedication. Thats a great puppeteer.

We shot footage of my puppet getting out of bed and doing his normal chores around the house. It was funny.
I didn’t have the guts to send in the video.
Even though my career turned out to be fun and cool, there will always be a little part of me that regrets not sending in that video.
Here’s a story that i haven’t mentioned. In 1991, before Cartoon Network, while I was at CNN, the Henson company advertised that they were looking for puppeteers and gave an address to send in videos.
I had one of my friends shoot me with the puppet that would eventually become Long Haul. 1/2
