Today I'm mostly making Pork Kalu Pol curry from a Rick Stein book. The good news is I now have about a pound of home made roasted Sri Lankan curry powder, so future meals ought to be a lot less time-intensive.

I saw Ash the other weekend and it's mad that a band who've been around my entire musical life are still so young.
I remember an interview when Wheeler was asked his opinion of Coldplay's "Yellow" and he was mostly just bemused at being treated like rock's elder statesman when he was still only 24.

I've loved him in more stuff than I care to remember. If I'd made it as an actor of any kind, I'd have wanted to be a Denis Lill. Popping up everywhere, with an extraordinary range of characters. No fuss, no ego, pure craft.

At the theatre once we saw our mate Amanda "Toots" before the show. We waved and called, "Amanda! Over here! Amanda!" and wondered why people were glowering at us.
It turned out Amanda Holden was in the row in front, sizzling probably, and everyone thought we were bothering her.
She seemed nice.
