There are a lot of bad Dems from NY and CA because NY and CA are the primary producers of Democrats by a wide margin. Same reason why there are so many bad GOpers from TX and FL - the ones in PA are just as bad or worse but they aren’t being overpriced line in TX and FL.

I don’t think this is actually true in aggregate though. I’d take NY’s Dem caucus over PA’s any day. My least favorite Dem in national politics, Spanberger, is from purple VA. Sinema existed. Whitmer kowtowed to Trump as he toyed with pardoning the Wolverine militants. Franken was rapey.

Thiel is really into the classics, particularly Ancient Greece, particularly the kid fiddling parts of it.
He’s done a good job burying it but like every other right wing megadonor he’s got a history of allegations of grooming minors.

Pretty sure veterans broke for Trump like 60/40 - the correct response is to just cut retirement benefits entirely; the majority sold out their trans colleagues and actions have consequences. Rescind MAGA subsidies wherever they exist. No group that voted for Trump should be on the govt dole.

Another example of the same thing having different connotations between political affiliations - assume that the only thing you know about someone is that they are a conservative, do you trust them to watch a kid more than you do someone who is a liberal?

How much political violence comes from self-identified liberals? Generally speaking, killing people over politics is the domain of people in the MAGA coalition, including Gaza “abstainers” who helped facilitate the ongoing crisis there. Ignoring that seems silly.

I was excluded from the jury for Sandusky’s kid’s trial (for pretty much the same thing his dad did).

I’m grateful that the Troopers acted bravely and with honor and am saddened by their injuries in the line of duty. I think it’s obvious they should never have been put in that position - rural communities which defund local police put state troopers at risk. PA needs to take action to end that.
