I definitely would not die on the "90% as good" hill, but given the radical price difference I still would love to get a lot more attempts at BRT (or vanilla bus lanes tbh) across LA.

My silver experience is from south station to the airport which isn't that much worse than the parts of the E line that have to deal with traffic lights. Some of that is definitely the bus subway I guess.

Eh. Boston's silver line is probably 90% as good as LA's E line.

I think it's because most of the yimby groups are sf based where the left actually is their opposition on housing. Meanwhile, LA has more traditional nextdoor cranks

Why is the rent so damn high in LA? Simple economics: the demand for housing is extremely high and our housing supply is extremely low.
