I've been on a run of live albums/performances lately for some reason, all I've wanted to listen to for the last few months. Favorites have included Elton John (his long, seemingly improv piano solos in the middle of songs are amazing), Prince and Dire Straits (same as above, w/ guitar), & Skynyrd.

Same. Aside from his “research,” his consulting and self-promotion are a full time job so the only thing I wonder about is whether his prof appointment is tied to clinical priv. It is for some tenure groups ime, but I’m assuming he wouldn’t have let it lapse if that were the case.

Anything’s possible, but he was already not doing much clinically. Helping people hasn’t been his thing for a long time. :-p

He let his cert lapse intentionally. Supposedly as a statement against recert fees assessed by the internal medicine board. But regardless, his position at the FDA never required it, and it’s not related to his resignation. It does affect his ability to go back to clinical practice tho.
