"Either we are at a critical juncture in the economy with a dangerously weak labor market that could quickly lead to a recession, or everything is perfect except the people who produce economic data."

As an investor, I won't be able to trust ANY data now. #EconSky www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...

Losing highly reliable, accurate and transparent data on the health of the world’s largest economy would be perilous.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics Is Not the Problem

  1. BLS isn't a restaurant. Evidently they refused to cook the numbers like Donnie would like.

  6. Our FIC has been driving the US to a recession since 1/20/2025. Firing hundreds of thousands, fallout from thousands of cancelled contracts is more jobs lost. Tariffs, fucking with the stock market and fucking with our ex-political allies; ICE terrorism stealing workers off the street. WTF?

  7. The IRONY is that, Trump's firing the Commissioner of Labor Statistics just ADDED to the BAD labor numbers Trump fired her for!

  9. No, it means you need to find alternative sources because the gold standard, the US BLS just imploded. Another unbiased source taken over by "the regime".

  10. The US is on the verge of economic collapse because Trump has absolutely no idea what he's doing. Gut instinct economics is madness and no-one wins in a trade war. He's clueless.

Whatever he's doing, and I don't think even he knows, it has NOTHING to do with economics.

  11. I doubt that anyone will trust what the government says now about the economy. Trust has been completely destroyed. Sad day in America.

  12. Nothing coming out of the government will be the truth. It'll all be made up to make the whiny orange shitstain feel good.

  13. If we did away with the stock market...fired all of the useless, overpaid CEOs, everyone in the country would do well.

I don't own stocks, they're not in the best interest of the masses.

  16. Yet my financial advisor says to just wait- historically, the market always rebounds. Dude, I don’t have the luxury of waiting, and we’ve never seen the US economy deliberately destroyed before.

  17. Get rid of data statistical collection. Problem solved no unemployment. Just like he tried to do with Covid numbers.

  18. Well, I figure he’s TRYING for the recession, but he may overshoot to depression. Nothing precise about him.
