IFPA president Josh Sharpe has doubled down on awarding points to a pinball tournament where a transphobic hate crime occurred.
He now says the event could have been stripped of its points, and blames the different outcome on two trans women.

newest statement from IFPA president, Josh Sharpe, is cowardly and gutless
but I guess it's just easier to blame the IFPA director who was present at the event - one of the targeted victims of the hate crime - than it is to uphold your organization's own gender inclusion policy
To say the IFPA's statement is disappointing and insufficient is an understatement.

One man choosing to override the unanimous position of the Women's Advisory Board manages to make this worse than no action by showing how little regard IFPA has for them

Instead of listening to the community Josh Sharpe instead decided to blame a trans woman, also of whom was a victim from this weekend, for all the problems and absolved himself from any and all responsibility.
It was a pathetic and cowardly display from a spineless leader.
Today has been me spending the past 11 hours pinging the ifpa admins hourly about the horrible statement they released that does not address the concerns of many players.
The IFPA leadership is clearly content with hate crimes occurring at their tournaments being ignored with zero consequences.
