I do wonder whether the EU and its nat govts are doing anything to push companies dependent on US imports/exports to find other suppliers/markets? Or are we all planning to keep kow-towing to the Trump Admin to protect these companies and our economies?

Totally agree, and human assistance for red pandas should not include pet shops, pet ownership or zoos. These are no substitute for sanctuaries in or emulating their natural habitat.
