Charlotte is blue af and the state is about 50/50. I'm from NC and seeing similar or less coverage of Charlotte, but there may be less happening here. I can't tell with less news going around about it.

Is it a threat to free speech when the President of the United States threatens to yank the broadcast license of a channel whose reporters are asking him challenging questions?
I ask because I feel like there used to be tons of pundits worried about free speech. Where'd they go?

It depends on what they actually knew. If they didn't know he was doing anything seedy, those people are innocent. However they should be able to hold up to scrutiny if so.
