Update to the resolution before Asheville city council to ban ICE/CBP from using city owned property
Resolution barring ICE/CBP using city property will not proceed this meeting, after more conservative council members refused to advance it and council member Kim Roney folded rather than face an ounce of conflict. #avlgov

Thanks for the boost!
Asheville city council meeting at 5. Resolution barring ICE/CBP from using city property, backed by array of community groups, isn't on the agenda.

Update -
Heads up Asheville - there’s a resolution that will go before City Council today to prohibit ICE and CBP from using city property for operations.
This would include parks, lots, schools, libraries, and community centers. Please email city council in support. ashevillenccouncil@ashevillenc.gov 1/2
If they don’t take this up tonight there will be a lot of very pissed off folks.
Thank you!
Attaching my email as a sample if anyone wants a template. (I just wrote this quickly so don’t judge.)
Silence is complicity. Stand up! 2/2
