It does seem as though both nuclear and solar energy options are being thought of and developed for space exploration. Both are also currently being used in space. I guess we will wait and see what the future holds and which technology or combination of technologies prevail.

Unless there is some micro nuclear fission processes being developed large scale for moon development how much equipment are you schlepping for that energy generation? My guess is while trump is around all this is moot as he only cares about announcing big deals.

You are right but I hope the ability to store solar power will improve as we continue to advance solar energy cause spending all that time and money on something that is dangerous and might be obsolete seems backward thinking.
