I think there’s value in calls for what ought to be done, even knowing it won’t be.
Yes, we should be doing what is achievable (most of which requires winning elections) but also saying things like this… and that masked thugs shouldn’t kidnap people off the street etc.

Yes, I love how the strict constructionists pore over dusty manuscripts to parse the historical meaning of original terms… But believe the term arms in the right to bear arms, has to change with times.
