If they only based census numbers on citizens, Texas and Florida would lose half its representatives, especially in their beloved rural districts. Trump and Co., being addled nincompoops ignoramuses, have yet to realize this.

If done "fairly" (which it wouldn't be), this would affect, in order, CA, TX, FL, and NJ. Dems would lose more, but Rs would also lose plenty.

This is an excellent point. I looked up the estimated population of undocumented people in North Carolina out of curiosity: 325k. That's half a congressional district.

Has anyone explained to these morons that not counting undocmented people will hurt red states like Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Florida, that have agriculture and industries that attract those people.

I wouldn’t have been that dismissive but I did think institutions and norms would hold up better than they have. They have been utterly inadequate to the occasion.
