    1. Every year I create this list, and every year it blows up. You can find links to each girl scout's online cookie order form here.

Please subscribe to support my work, and please get some cookies from the kiddos!

Also: Since bluesky is bad with long threads, don't forget to click show more!

  1. I love this idea, but the thought of a list of girls who are trans, in ANYONE'S hands, makes my blood run cold. All it takes is the wrong person finding this list, and they can turn these girls lives into a hellscape. 😰

  2. What a great idea!! And if you’re off carbs you can order cookies to be donated by your Girl Scout/Brownie!!

Thanks for this…as a dad of a former daisy/brownie/Girl Scout who transitioned later, this made my night!

  3. This is awesome, thank you! I don't need cookies right now but I set a budget and I'm ordering cookies from random scouts who haven't met their goals yet. I can't change the world but I can make a few young people feel a bit more supported and maybe a bit less attacked.

  5. Bought directly from Marc (because I have a fondness for people named Marc) and made sure in the after-purchase survey to say why I was buying from a Scout online rather than the kids (usually their moms) in the neighborhood: I want to make sure the queer kids know how vital and wonderful they are.

  6. I'm stocked up! Not only did I grow up in the org, my trans-masc child started when he was in K. My mother was my troop leader and assisted in his troop too. Thanks for doing this Erin!

  7. I had a bad experience with the GS but I do not blame the organization: it was a single individual. I love supporting kids who are seen as different and watching them thrive.

  8. 512 employees received $46 million in compensation – or an average of $90,000 each (although the organization also spent $5 million with Salesforce in 2023).

  9. Does anyone know if any of them sell the cookies made by ABC Bakers? I want to buy some of the vegan options, but I’ve clicked on 10+ and they all seem to be selling the ones from Little Brownie Bakers.

  10. I applaud this list, but trans Girl Scouts are not that rare, especially in places that generally support their LBGTQ communities. You can feel good about buying cookies from all of us!

  11. We accept trans girls and boys(once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout) and non-binary scouts. I have a trans boy in my troop- he’s going for his Gold Award. He won’t be the first in our area.

  12. Missouri girl scouts did not and didn't hide it. One of many many reasons my daughter quit them. But Missouri is shit anyways

  13. Thank you for sharing!! I shared with my friends and they were so excited to have such an amazing cross section of Girl Scouts who represent both bakeries to choose from! Appreciate your work on this~.

  14. Thank you for this list of great scouts. Did you know there are actually two companies that bake them? ABC and Little Brownie Baker. My favorite is Little Brownie. Their Tag-a-Longs in particular. My local girl scouts sell ABC. Now I can help scouts and still have my favorite cookies. Win win

I ordered from your list last year & chose a 1st year seller. In return I got cookies & the cutest note ever that stays on my bookshelf.

The front of a thank you card. There is a picture of the scout on the right & the rest is decorated with pink axolotls that say “Thank you for your support” and “My first cookie sale”. I’ve put a smilie face over the child’s face for privacy reasons. The back of the thank you card. It is decorated with two more pink axolotls, each holding a cookie.

There is a handwritten note by a young person still perfecting the craft of handwriting. It says: thank you for buying cookies! You helped me reach my goal! Thanks!

Once again, for privacy reasons, I’ve scribbled over the scout’s name & put a cookie over the QR code on the bottom left.

  16. I had no idea you could even order girl scout cookies. The future is NOW. Anyway, i ordered 4 boxes + one that they donate to a food bank. I picked a random scout because their little bio said they enjoy writing and playing Pokemon, just like me.

  17. If your kid wants to be in GS, know that troops can be very different (esp at the older levels), so if one isn't a good fit, try another. Mine was urban & bookish, some camp a lot, some have other focus, some do everything. Fit makes a huge difference.

  18. My dealer of choice is trans. I'll send your link to her mom to see if she wants to add her kid :)

  19. I was a Girl Guide (nz version of girl scouts) for years, and my troop and leaders were so supportive when i came out as enby- buy cookies and donate to your local guides/scouts hall !!

  20. This is worth cheating on my diet for. Trans kids need more support than ever in this cruel, hostile climate. Poor kiddos!

  21. I wasn't ever in the scout myself. Do the kids set the goals themselves for something they're pursuing or is that set for them by the troop? Just curious why some kids goal is like 10x higher than others.

  22. This is a good idea Erin. But also, stay safe. Im glad to hear your wife is in the Montana Legislature but I'm scared for her since Montana is one of the top 5 anti-queer states. Stay vigilant.

  23. Gonna be honest, if I were a trans girl in girl scouts, I don't think I would want special treatment when trying to sell cookies. I'd want the same cookie-selling experience as any other girl in the troop.

  24. I love that you do this, thank you. I'm a Girl Guide leader and a Girl Scout Alumni and it is really important to me that we are an inclusive organisation Plus Girl Scout Cookies are yummy!

  25. I would love to support a kid more local. Are you aware of any from Montana? If not, I'll gladly just place an order from a few of them to spread the love.

  26. I’m glad to see you’re still doing this ❤️

My kiddo isn’t in GS anymore, but they were part of your post the 1st year. They were so excited and amazed that many people supported them.

Living in a town plastered in Trump signs, it was a nice reminder.

  27. Our Service unit has both a Trans girl in one troop and a Trans boy who grew up with his troop and is still welcomed with his friends after his transition. Proud to be a Girl Scout dad, so proud of all the kids and parents who contribute.

  28. And if you don't eat sugar or for any reason don't actually want the cookies, they have ways to donate the cookies you buy to other organizations like the military and I think food banks.

  29. Awesome Erin, what a great thing you’re doing here! For the past few years, I’ve been getting my cookies from a Girl Scout troupe in NYC that is unhoused. I will be sure to hit your list this year too! YAY COOKIE SEASON FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS

  30. We just got some cookies from them they are delicious Definitely getting them again from now on I support them.

  31. I'm always happy to help out the girl scouts whoever it is my daughter was one and we sold lots of cookies

  32. Is there anyway that this can be searched? Like to find the scouts the furthest away from their goals?

    0
  33. that's wonderful. why are they selling these absolute junk cookies, though?? they should know better and do better and care more. I make a statement as kindly as possible ("I only eat whole foods") and gratefully give a donation to the military which they have as an option.

  34. Do you happen to know if this is still true for Girl Scouts Canada?

I found an article from 2015 saying they welcome trans youth, but haven't been able to find anything more recent since several provincial governments have gone HARD on anti trans rhetoric

  35. My daughter joined GS as a tween and it has been the BEST experience! We absolutely love our troop and really have a lot of fun selling cookies too. :) Please support the Girl Scouts in any and every way you can. It's such an important organization and is struggling financially.

  36. You're wonderful for doing this. Reading through this list makes me feel so hopeful, these young Scouts having strong sense of selves and great support!

    0
  37. Nope. Didn't care trans kids wanted to join the Girl Scouts nor about girls joining the Boy Scouts. Trans people have been politicized by the GOP. I just hope the GOP politicians choke on their on their own bile of filth, corruption.

  38. I had no idea how inclusive the girl scouts were, that's really cool.

I don't normally buy girl scout cookies but reading about these trans kids able to be true to themselves at such a young age, made me tear up a bit, so I just had to place an order.

Thank you so much for doing these! I always wait to order until your post. It's a very trivial bit of support for the community, in the grand scheme, but I always try to find the ones that are struggling to meet their goals from your list.

  40. Please post these every year — at some point, my niece (currently our cookie connect) will quit Girl Scouts and I’ll need to get my fix from somewhere.
