You know how all those Labour MPs did photo ops with Israeli politicians and the Israeli ambassador? Well, imagine instead they were shaking hands with a bunch of Klansmen in the full white hood getup, and you will be much closer to reality than whatever you read about that in the paper.

Sensible Centrists are allowed to notice individual acts of bigotry but the idea of systemic or institutional discrimination is loony-left wrongthink. Therefore to reaffirm their Sensible Centrist credentials they must constantly and publicly proclaim their bafflement, even as the bodies pile up.

Look. If everyone has been behaving weirdly, bafflingly, inexplicably, with an intense and furious consistency of purpose for the last three decades, maybe you need to start asking "what motives could fit this behaviour?" Otherwise, what insight are you bringing to bear here?

It is clearly the case that asylum protests were smaller this weekend than the small over-hyped protests on August 8th, and smaller than in the second half of July.
No broadcast outlet has accurately conveyed that + asked why: they have explicitly stated and inferred growing protests
