I consider only the end user to be the "consumer" in this context. You're expanding the definition beyond anything I've ever seen.

Companies do indeed sometimes sacrifice profit margins in favor of market share or other goals. I've done it within my own small retail businesses, but businesses of all sizes do it.

I oppose tariffs. I'm simply challenging the claim that the consumer always pays them. Manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, retailers, and others in the supply chain individually decide how to mitigate tariffs and other costs.

How or if costs are passed along is up to choices made by the various parties in the supply chain. Some parties absorb costs to maintain market share, for example.

On both my home and commercial solar installations, the inverters have been very troublesome. All three inverters I own broke multiple times. The home inverter was covered by warranty, but problems with the commercial inverters cost me thousands of dollars.

Why do you assume they're Republicans? I haven't noticed any Republicans align with them.
