  7. Liberalism largely solved all the problems of the 90s through sheer momentum not major governmental shifts and the people to whom the 90s was their awareness can't comprehend that.

I mean crime is very real but almost no one is actually trying to address it in good faith at the national level … and in a highly federal system there’s not THAT much you can do besides throw money at a problem that at the end of the day had more to do personality and virtuous-ness than anything.
