I spent many years tolerating religious folks... "live & let live".

Never again, liars.

Y'all don't live & let live SO neither will I, ever again.

COUNT on that.

  1. Dude, they don't even care what the Bible says. They've amended the book that's supposed to be the "word of God" so many times and they still don't read the damn thing. Otherwise they know their own God would be mortified by their beliefs and actions. Side note, there are religions that agree with u

  3. It's unwise to lump all of the people of any group together and label them by how you feel for the worst of that group. It is the same thought process that creates racism, and really all group hate when you think about it. It's seeded in ignorance and does nothing to unify people or progress us.

  4. These so-called Christians believe that uneducated men can not only read but interpret the Bible...which has been translated so many times and in so many languages, that the basic premise of the original has long been lost. But of course they can put whatever interpretation they want.

  5. I’ve had about enough of these religious nutjobs who insist that everyone live by their arbitrary rules they supposedly learned from some ancient text and molded to fit their tilted view of reality.

  6. The Paradox of Tolerance. We have to tolerate all non-destructive differences. The one thing we absolutely cannot tolerate is intolerance. That will destroy society.

It's about the book with the words to control the stupid people and pacify them into servitude.

  9. Open New Testament book, people will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven:

    • murderers, Nazis
    • pedophiles
    • perverts, adulterers
    • money-grubbers and stingy scoundrels
    • women have sex with many men
    • poisoners and those who perform abortions due to debauchery
    • thieves, and worshipers of Satan.

  10. It is impossible to buy a Stairway to Heaven. There is only one road to Heaven, and that road is narrow and dangerous. For your Christian beliefs, you can be hanged, burned, or trampled underfoot in the 21st century. Because you just want PEACE without war.

Trolls will troll you for Christian life

  11. The New Testament is not just a book, it is the Golden Key with which you open the doors to the Higher Spiritual Kingdom. And before us there lived other civilizations and they were smarter than us, and they honored the spiritual covenants of the gods.

  12. Live and let live’ only works when everyone actually lives and lets live. When people break that trust, asserting yourself becomes necessary, not optional.

  13. My aunt was a Methodist, for one summer she would stop by and pick-up me and my six siblings and take us to her church. At the end of summer she won a huge fancy Bible for getting the most people to church. Didn't see her again for years. This is my church experience.

  14. I think of a dear (Evangelical) friend who, when my son died at 39 of cancer, told me that "God has a plan." I like my friend; I know that such thinking comforts her. But, for me, this was the cruelest cut of all. She's still my friend, but I can't wrap my head around the insensitivity.

  15. Have your religion, that's fine. The moment you use it to make policy, it becomes politics, and is fair game.

  16. Religion, in my view, is the second stupidest thing humans EVER created. #1 is god. #3 is nuclear weapons. Humans LOVE to kill with religion as their excuse. We should grow up to recognize the religion is about three things: gathering money, garnering power, and abusing women and children.

  23. I don’t know how to tell y’all this but….. the bible is just made up stories. Someone folk just made up stories and wrote them down. Just like they do nowadays. It’s no different.

Harry Potter was the ‘chosen one’ and performed magic tricks. But we don’t go round starting a fucking Potter cult

  26. Please don't generalize about "religious folks". Even though I am not religious, I know plenty of good people that are. Perhaps "Christian Nationalist" would better describe religious people who don't seem to care about Christ's teachings unless they think that they support their cause.

  27. You go girl!!!!! I really believe God's pretty much done with that book too. Times are a changing and not for the good. Time to switch strategies. See you on the battlefield

  30. Yeah, it's time to stop giving the cult cred. Sorry about the good people who honestly try to live their lives according to good principles, I have known a few in my lifetime. The others commandeered your religion the way MAGA took possession of the Republican party.

  32. No book should ever be banned. You can often learn more from the bad than the good. If you used many of the excuses they use to ban books the Bible would be banned

  33. The CHURCH for centuries has USED religion to justify the most horrendous acts in the world. Churches are the breeding ground for hate, discrimination, and brainwashing people.

  34. The mission statement and the words of a leader tell you the intent of a group. There are religious AND secular leaders who want to shove their rules down our throats. And there are religious and secular leaders who don't need control over others and don't sell that to their followers.

  35. The Bible has been rewritten so many times over the centuries. How can you believe it? The Bible was basically rewritten every time there was a war going back to the beginning of time. I was raised in a very religious home. Now I have found my own higher power and that is who I answer too.

  36. They don't ether, they have twisted the words of Jesus to match their hate and greed.

  37. "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Ghandi. I have found the higher someone waves their Bible, the louder they shout I am a Christian, the more cherry picked Bible verses they quote, the closer I watch my back.

  38. I will say as a Catholic, even to me some Christians don't seem to follow the bible either, especially Trumps version of Christians. Just possers, picking only parts they like and ignoring the important parts like "love they neighbor" or "Judge not, lest ye be judged". Don't blame yeah for hating.

  39. What’s incorrect is the sign assumes these national Christians are really “Christian”..they only use the Bible as a prop.. no reading of or following of the Bible by any maga GOP group

  40. The Christian Bible - taking a mis-translation of a mis-translation and using it to dehumanize. The best thing in the Bible is when God created the Earth and said it was good. Even God wasn't perfect.

  41. 100 percent. Religion has been killing each other for as long as recorded history shows. I do not subscribe to that book club. Leave me the fuck alone and let me live my own life.

  42. Religion is just an excuse to join a social club for most people...people who need/want an excuse to hang out with other people (and to pressure their family and neighbors into joining them).

To others, it's an easy way to signal morality, scam believers, groom children, and/or acquire power.

    Sad.

  43. The ingenious, most religious ppl are the worst! They don’t really believe, they just want their fellow members to believe they believe. All those ppl are the same, so it’s a wink, wink situation with everyone pretending all the same crap. I have met very few ppl that I think are true believers

The Bible is a book written by men to control the masses.

Why do you think there are so many versions of it.

  45. I care what the book says.

Because reading it exposes what kind of people christians are. Listen to them excuse child canibalism and unjust punishments and claim that every woman deserves to be raped if god says so because everyone is a sinner.

You need to arm yourself with knowledge.

  46. Well, for thise in the book club, the Bible says you should kill adulterers, so anyone trying to kill #DJT is actually just trying to carry out God's will.

  48. I was raised in an atheist home. I remember my father telling me he thought people just made the whole thing up. Well, duh, dad. My older brother became a Roman Catholic. He liked the ceremonies. I remain a non believer. It's not a choice. I just don't believe in fairy tales.

  49. As a Christian I have to stand with you. Not fight, hate or try and change you. But accept you for who you are. Your beliefs and thoughts are yours. And I have no right to tell you that your are wrong and judge you for it. And I really mean that. All best to you from Canada.

  50. Reminds me of Hitchens "Religion now comes to us in this smiley-face, ingratiating way — because it’s had to give so much more ground and because we know so much more. But you’ve got no right to forget the way it behaved when it was strong, and when it really did believe that it had God on its side"

The problem is the christian nationalist read the old testament which is harsh and cruel. When jesus came on the scene his disciples wrote the new testament which was kinder, I am not religious but the 2 different versions are miles apart!

  54. To be fair, I was headed this way before Trump. But, Maga and their hypocrisy just got me there faster. I'm all in as a follower of science and humanity. I stand in awe and pure joy when looking at the stars and contemplate how tiny subatomic particles combined to inspire me.

  55. Truthfully most of them too don’t care what the book says, it’s just the vehicle for them to be divisive and spew hatred to a “type”, when really it’s their own self loathing at the heart of it all.

  56. I'm like you. I've always been a "live & let live" person. Scotlands are not really religious 59% of us don't believe in God & even fewer ever go to church.

I absolutely refuse to remain silent & sit while American evangelical hate groups invade our politics, trying to replicate Trump with Farage.

  60. Organized religion has created so much strife and division. How many wars have been fought over religious differences? Religion was used for colonization. If we abolish religion how many issues would go away?

    0
  61. It's just so achingly obvious that religion only came about as a proxy for not knowing stuff. Every civilisation in history had its version of a magic being (or several) that could explain confusing things and Christianity itself is only an amalgamation of earlier myths.

  62. Let's be honest a book that features genocide and the mass killing of babies. should be the first book burnt. Not Harry Potter or literature containing sexuallity, deemed evil by their homophobic God.

  63. MAGA, Christian Nationalists, Fundamentalist Evangelicals, etc, are NOT religious. They are TERRORISTS, always have been, alway will be, despite the name they go by. They are POWER HUNGRY, for domination and rule. They need to be held accountable for DOMESTIC TERRORISM, and kicked out of the US.
