There are people in the administration openly calling for women to lose their right to vote. They are trying to denaturalize citizens and take away birthright citizenship. The gestapo is on our streets. The WH tweets Nazi propaganda daily. I need the “mature adults” to get their shit together asap.

My personal opinion is that everyone should be alarmist about everything the conservative movement is saying and planning and attempting right now. Be extremely alarmist about fascism. Be very alarmed about White Christian Nationalism. It is an absolutely appropriate reaction.

Fascism is here. We are not “getting closer” or “in danger of.”
This matters because it frames our discussion: We aren’t trying to prevent it, we’re trying to defeat it. It’s not taking over our institutions, it’s taken them over.
Otherwise, we’re always behind, fighting a past we’ve already lost.
