I’ve had interns en route to their professors houses getting stopped for “driving while {not white}”. In MetroWest. 🤬 Definitely eliminated towns from our previous house shopping. And future.

The reasons are tradition (once upon a time “Agriculture”) and economics (e.g. tourism, sports seasons). In New England, waiting until Wed after Labor Day maxes out our Summer weather (Mid June to Early September). The local “big” sport is hockey…

Normally in HS in the States projects are due the week before, followed by exam days if necessary, and a half day for the Last Day, where you turn in equipment and sign yearbooks. Report cards are e-mailed within the following week. First Day is also a half day to get equipment & syllabi.

Just noting that many states still require passing a “Constitution” test in order to graduate from High School. I passed that in 9th Grade Civics in Missouri. Who do these idiots think they’re fooling?
