I think you may be confused about how science works. If scientists provide evidence that favors one hypothesis over another that others favor, that is a scientific disagreement, not a “cover-up”.

From first principles and a literature review (OK, reading a bunch of stuff online), it doesn't matter within moderation. Not dry and not too much water after applying the toothpaste.

Subsequently, Richard has done some very important work on bacterial transcription and antibiotics.
But this paper was over-hyped by others and probably by him as well. I was not convinced by it when it came out and it did not age well.
Turns out Richard Ebright too has a track record of publishing crap…who’d have thought it.
Just wait and see how much GoF research he does with dangerous pathogens at arms length….

I see that others are responding to your assertions. I am sure that Dr. Bhattacharya appreciates you looking out for him. Would you like to offer opinions about clinical trials being paused in an orderly way since you feel comfortable speaking about issues that lie outside your documented expertise?

But these papers were framed as proposals and the evidence (and lack thereof) was laid out clearly.
Of course, it helped that they were both essentially complete when addressed experimentally by a range of labs. 😊
