  1. Labour promised real change. Burnham, AFAIK, is the only prominent Labour politician who has a vision and proposals for structural change which are likely to produce change for the better. Starmer et al however are more interested in preserving personal power than they are the good of the country

  2. I think it is worse than that for many who have just stopped listening to the national leadership altogether. If nobody’s listening there’s no awareness of good news On top of that they leave me thinking that as likely as not they’ll change they mind & reverse it in a week or so anyway It is dismal

  3. I might be a lone voice but I sort of think that the best way in which the BBC should use some of its cash, so far as this issue is concerned, is to take full and sensible legal advice from experts in this area of law and then, quietly and calmly, follow that advice.

  4. 2-2 I’d go Scotland to win in other circs. but they put Scots fans through the wringer, so will take the most difficult route right down to the wire. For me they’re likely to take it to the play offs

I’m not a Scot but I really hope they cruise through 3-0, their fans deserve a break & a fun night.

  5. Just a thought for dark times:

“There is no reason why good cannot triumph as often as evil. The triumph of anything is a matter of organisation. If there are such things as angels I hope that they are organised along the lines of the mafia”

    • from Kurt Vonnegut

    So get organised
