Tangentially, my life improved immensely when I stopped focusing on National Democrats and plugged in to what state and local Dems were doing. Chuck Schumer being useless? Who gives a shit, the county Dems are protesting ICE raids and posting flyers with immigration rights and information. It helps!
Everything is shit and fascism is here and we're not going to be saved; we have to fight it together. Go volunteer at a local food bank or library or something, joining existing networks will save you time and energy and show you how those connections look and feel if you need to rebuild them later
