each arc does work almost enitrely standalone but there is a pretty strong interconnecting story
The later cold steel games are basically sequels to zero/azure too, especially trails into reverie since lloyd and rean are 2 of that game's protags

thats fair I played it on my laptop which I put on my desk chair and wheeled over to my bed and played before I went to sleep each night (later I used a hdmi to play the ending on the big TV cos I was loving it so much)
I didn't understand how the quartz system worked until 50 hours into game 2 :D
its funny the only reason I got into the series was cos I thought based off the screenshots it was a tactics game like FFT
happiest mistake I ever made, the 3rd sky game is now joint 1st as my favourite game of all time
you can also play a game where the main character who is a cop looks directly at the screen and says "yeah we should probably defund the police"
all i see is peak and more peak
The trick I stuck with is that since each chapter is usally locked to a single town, I'd pick 1 or 2 NPCs and go "you seem cool, I'll keep checking in" but would leave it at just those 2
keeps the game moving but you get to have a nice taste of the "living world" aspect

It has been a while since our last update on Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga, and we want to thank everyone for their patience during this time.
This is neat Sonic dream team has added a new shadow level and ported in costumes from sonic forces speed battle in the last 2 months
The fact this game is still getting updates continues to give me hope we'll get it on actual accessible platforms
