The Labour Party have made a point of demonising landlords, repeatedly, when in opposition. Itβs just another hypocrisy that someone close to the Labour Party is now trying change the narrative as many Labour MPs are landlords.
Successive Govts are responsible for Social housing shortage.
The question should be whether they are decent landlords or not. Renting out a property does not amount to a conflict of interest anymore than owning a house, a car, or a bike. Perhaps some now expect MPs to renounce all worldly goods, like monks?
