Unusual language here in the New York Times’ claim that the Trump administration is trying to “reshape institutions that it views as cathedrals of liberalism.” What is the definition of a “cathedral of liberalism” and what right does Trump have to “reshape” it?
Liberalism is obviously having critical thinking skills and pedopresident said he loves the uneducated because they mirror his inability to read.

As to “reshaping” such “cathedrals” the NYT is either: a) indifferent; or b) curious/excited.
What they are doing is signaling to Trump that this is a project they are indifferent toward
It's an institution that is the opponent of authoritarians like Trump--one that favors of truth--not the lies that are convenient for Right Wing authoritarians. Like other authoritarians, Trump grabs power & seizes rights to do anything he wants, as long as no 1 stops him. And no 1 is stopping him.

Well, the Times is correct that the administration is going after liberalism. The error is in not understanding that the target is actually classical liberalism as a foundation for representative democracy
More importantly, why describe the initiative only in terms of how the Trump administration has "depicted" it?
