How would this even work? Hospitals or SUD treatment facilities have medical criteria for admission, and ethically we cannot section someone uri treatment who is not appropriate for that level of care

SCOTUS had already ruled last year that being homeless can be criminalized. Of course this regime wants to enforce this with cruel and extreme measures.
The decision is a win for Western cities that wanted more powers to manage record homelessness. But advocates for the unhoused say the decision will do nothing to solve the larger problem
