Im happy the people working on the new bubsy game are excited to work on it (tbh I would be too) but I cant help but feel like bubsys "comeback" in the past 8 years is a little unearned. Like youtubers dug up a 90s relic and clowned on it for a decade and thats the only reason prople know what it is
This is what people should do instead of wasting time getting pissed on social media or getting into an internet argument with a rando. Channel your rage into something productive.
Throwback to when AI bros were saying they were digital artists because they both used technology to make art.
So as a digital artist I found a rock, burnt some sticks, and made a busty dragoness out of nothing but shit I had in my backyard.
Nothing will stop real artists from making real art.
That is true, but the point that post was trying to make was how video game history has been basically "rewritten" by american video game youtubers in favor of nintendo to make them seem more culturally signifigant than they were in 5th gen. It wasnt trying to say banjo sucked or bombed commercially

I find it a bit odd sonic fans are constantly feeling the need to make "definitive" versions of the genesis games when no one really does this with any other franchise to that extent. Like tbh if Im gonna play sonic 1 Id rather not play it with a bunch of tacky additions the game wasnt designed for.
