Unfortunately, with the way the rules are set up, if you want to kick on you really do need the money. LFC are in a great position either way, it’s not patronising that they’ve made one huge opening offer. If you don’t want to negotiate then good for you, as long as you can get him playing again.
-
At the moment your prize asset is on strike. If you can get him to play for another season and start banging the goals in again like Lfc did with Suarez then maybe you’re right, but leaving him to rot in the reserves when you have a huge British transfer record fee on offer is just daft
-
How much is a player that won’t play for you worth? You were in a really strong position to get maximum value for him but the longer this goes on the lower that value becomes.
-
Many LFC fans felt the same about Coutinho but thankfully our owners weren’t toddlers and we ended up with Van Dyke and Allisson instead.
-
Do you accept £120mill, a British transfer record, or keep a player that won’t play for you again… hmmm decisions decisions 🤔
-
Wow, that’s nuts!! But it’s not really a fair test, there isn’t a person alive that wouldn’t tell the whole office that you have a third Gonad.

He chose, not only as a player but as a Liverpool fan, to run down his contract and leave on a free to a champions league rival, significantly weakening the squad. If you love the club as he said he did, many times, you don’t do that. So people were annoyed.

😂😂 sorry, I missed that. I wouldn’t boo myself but don’t have any issue with those who do. I think the main problem was Slot putting him on the pitch at that point

No you’re right Chris, he has to do the what’s right for him. But if that’s to the detriment of LFC nobody should expect Liverpool fans to continue supporting him for it. There’ve been many players in the past who have made sure they’ve left their clubs in the right way, unlike these two players.
