Our constitutional safeguards were NEVER guaranteed. They have to be fought for to get, to keep, to be maintained. My frustration is with feckless Dems that don't seem to grasp that, and have been focusing on stupidity for years, while the GOP had an entirely different, but very transparent agenda.

In many ways this is good...in some ways, not really. Religion is sort of a 50/50 thing, with some benefit for humanity, and a whole lot of detrimental horrific aspects.

Innocent until proven guilty...not the other way around. If men have to provide DNA to prove they are NOT a rapist, the US legal system is dead. People like you are why I no longer vote for Dems, vote 3rd party instead, and Trump won. YOU are as much a threat to democracy and society as Trump is.

Somewhat yes, and somewhat no. In some ways, the USA has never been a law abiding society...with a good part of that being politicians, cops, courts, etc. Witness what Trump and his cabal of unpatriotic morons are doing, or trying to do, domestically and internationally. And Dems do it as well.
