Lazar Research Institute did a poll finding that 41% of respondents agreed that a humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Gaza. Of this group, 56% said they care about the issue of famine in Gaza. 47 of all respondents said they do not believe there's a famine.
In this case, it seems that the issue is more denial than a conscious approval of the government strategy of starving people to death. The answer to the question "do you wish that people in Gaza die of hunger" would likely not be a majority of "yes".
