Hah! Well played π€
The phrase "It turns out" is the ultimate shortcut to credibility.
It makes any statement sound like an undeniable fact while wielding no actual authority.
Observe: "It turns out elephants love sushi."
See? It must be so, right? π£π

They offered me a deal! π
Also, today I called a few other publishers I had submitted to but had not heard back from yet. And they also got interested since their competitor is about to snatch me. Looks like I'm being fought over for. Pretty wild!
I meant to write tonight, but ended up making this meme showing why I didn't. The circle is complete. I'm off to bed.

Pratchettβs writing is so good that it stands perfectly well on its own. The question is, would adding chapter titles have made it even better?
Yup. Many books use numbers only. Even some young readers' books. I just read Neil Gaiman's Coraline to my kids. A brilliant book, but had no chapter titles. Especially for young readers a little teaser of what's to come would be very beneficial, I reckon.
A case for chapter titles:
β‘οΈ We want the reader to keep reading.
β‘οΈ The most common place to stop reading is between chapters.
β‘οΈ With an intriguing chapter name, we entice the reader to read on.
β‘οΈ So why not use this free engagement tool?
Name your chapters!

I do my best to be kind, but no matter how much I try, German kids are always kinder.
They were very interested and offered a deal π
