  1. Maybe you should have done a better job reporting on Trump & Project 2025 during the election. Go fuck yourselves; you helped enable this shit.

  2. Ok. So what are you going to do about it, or was that it? You guys ever think that maybe the Sanewashing didn’t pay off?

  3. This is why nobody should subscribe to the NY Times, WaPo, LA Times, or other gutless, cowardly, weasel publications.

    You are not journalists.

You are happy, willing slaves to the dictator.

Soooo....what are you going to do? A pointed statement isn't enough. For God's sake, you're the New York Times. Stand for something.

  5. It’s almost as if you should have sounded the alarm about this entirely predicable outcome long ago, instead of sane-washing an insane wannabe dictator at every turn.

  6. Is this it? That's all you're going to say?

My house just started up a subscription again after about a 2 year stop. But I'm going to cancel it again if you don't do more about this clear 1st Amendment violation!

  7. Weird to have changed tone about Trump after the election. This sort of tone might have been helpful beforehand, when you were busily sanewashing Trump’s lunacy and accepting his assurances that he knew nothing of Project 2025 (which is now well underway). A day late, a dollar short, the NYT fails.

  8. This is just disturbing for press freedom. Access now conditional on loyalty. Is this really access at all? Every legitimate news outlet should consider whether participating in this charade only legitimizes a broken system. Maybe it’s time to walk away from WH briefings altogether #freepress

  9. Wow! How bold and assertive. Your transparency and integrity the last decade has really been something. Start speaking blunt honest truth or your readership will continue to evaporate. You are eventually going to fall off your tightrope of appeasement.

  10. Covering the 🍊💩s BS sessions are worthless anyway. No one ever fact checks! Except Macron!

  11. Your wretched publication has worked tirelessly to cause this situation. There's not a single journalist left under your umbrella, and you are a punchline kept aloft by little more than a crossword puzzle.

  12. Congratulations. You played a big part in helping Trump win with your deeply biased election coverage and failure to accurately report the achievements of the Biden administration in real time.

    No respect at all.

  13. The wolves are eating your face, NYT. Now maybe you wish you would have called a spade a spade when you had the chance and not sane-washed him all the way through the election? Now the self proclaimed king shuts you out and people know you’re worthless as a valid source of information.

  14. I remember when you assholes spent weeks wailing in outrage because Biden wouldn’t give you an interview. You admitted to slanting your coverage against him because of it.

    1
  15. Stop reporting him. He just lies anyways. Find truthful leaders to follow and interview them for guidance and insights. Value the truth about what is happening and what is planned.

  16. If only NYT had had access to over a century of documentation about how these things go, maybe they could have seen it coming.

    1
  17. Lots of us warned you for a decade that this is where we’d be if you didn’t stop normalizing him and didn’t stop creating drama about Biden.

  18. So withdraw from the press pool! Disband the White House press corps. It's been around less than 100 years, and has no value if its purpose is to amplify bs propaganda. Time for a new golden age of journalism.

  19. Thank you!

Every historian would say that authoritarian regimes would never have come to power if outlets put out statements, so this is an important and impactful step by the USA’s leading newspaper!

  20. Bullshit that is just an excuse to cover up the fact that most press are too scared of standing up to Trump. If he doesn’t want you there deprive him of the minutes and soundbites . He needs the press to spread his hate and misinformation more than you need him. Grow up and grow a backbone press!

  21. Oh fuck you! You're sane washing and both sidesism during Shitler's campaign is a major contributing factor to the situation we're all currently in. Eat shit.

  22. I don't think anybody has confused the New York Times with an actual news organization for many years now.

If you weren't sanewashing Nazis, then your reporters were saving news for years for their books.

You made your bed. Lie in it. My sympathy is reserved for people who didn't create this.

  23. And that's why these reporters won't ask the tough questions, that are right on the tips of their and our tongues !

This was evident when he signed that BS birthright EO, with a room full of press and no one asked him about violating our Constitution !

  24. thing it, we KNOW that access will be all lies. Why bother with it? Just see what Fox says the president said, and then unpack the lie. There really is no LAW that says you have to have a "scoop" for the inanities the WH provides.

  25. LOL, a "statement," I'm sure Trump is pissing his pants. What a worthless piece of garbage this once great newspaper has become.

  26. Great job standing strong today, maybe you’d like to go back in time & rethink all the opinion pieces, editorials, features, articles, & ledes in which you promoted this regime while nitpicking & debasing democrats from the top down? Maybe consider how we got here & the role your org played?

Yawn, I got as bored reading it as the lazy person who wrote it. This paper is trash.

  28. Why didn't you do your job before the election? You abdicated in advance and now you want to get all outraged? Have you submitted an amicus brief in the @apnews.com court case? I suspect not!

It's way too little and it's way too late!

  29. Should have thought about that during election season.

But you ran mostly trash. Corporate media gleefully wanted this. Encouraged it even.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I’ll be getting my news from independent content creators for the foreseeable future.

  30. SO what it's all PROPAGANDA.

Feeling a bit like russia around here, wouldn't you say ? 🤷‍♀️🙄

    WAKE UP AMERICA ⚠️🚨🛑🚨🛑🤯🤯

  31. Well, what a strongly worded letter you just sent there, fellas. I’m sure they will quake in their boots. You guys made him what he is, you own him. So don’t go crying now. 🙄

  32. So, who is giving him a handy to continue the mutual embarrassment kink that is literally destroying the nation? I think Sulzberger should do it.

  33. ....?.... told you so...?

Whoever panders to this baboon that the NYT helped let loose on the planet is as much a fascist as he.

    0
  34. Hold your own press conferences. With the opposition. This is what you need to do. People will be grateful.

    0
  35. Wow, really? When are you guys going to start doing independent, trustworthy journalism?

Isn’t this funny. You thought licking his ass was gonna get you in the room. You destroyed America to get there. And now you’re screwed just like the rest of us.

    0
  36. Oh yes, please regale us with more puffery. NYT is pro-fascism, you can't put out a trite "We want to appear to gaf even though we don't" and erase the history of NYT.

    Do better or bugger off.

    0
  37. And now you reap the whirlwind. You sane-washed him, you coddled him, manipulated for him, covered his ass, to help him get elected, NYT. Welcome to the 'find out' phase of 'fuck around, find out'. We. Hate. You. Spineless. Collaborators. The leopard is eating YOUR face.

  38. What action will you take to show solidarity?

How will you disincentivize this behavior?

When will you stop sending your reporters to the WH in protest?

    0
  39. Maybe it's a great time to stop reporting on what Trump's administration says it's doing and report on what it is actually doing and its impacts.

    0
  40. And to demonstrate our outrage we at the New York Times will, as has been our wont, bend over.

    Far over.

    You pathetic lilly livered collaborationists…

    0
  41. We would, and frankly are, getting more, and more accurate, information about what the WH is doing from everybody but WH spokespeople. That’s just a fact. Why not cover the place on that basis?

    0
  42. Quit letting him use you to spread his lies and amplify his propaganda. Your coverage should focus on his corruption and incompetence, with a large dose of “arrest him”!
