  1. Not to be rude but this is a very "I got into mecha in the year 2005 and haven't seen anything made before 1985" kinda view

I say this as someone who walked that path, then stepped beyond it

Angel should be woman (Nagano's entire body of work): The half-way of woman and monster should be angel

  2. I immediately thought of Aura Battler Dunbine as the most beatley beatle suits but they are a bit weird since they're mediaeval knights too

  3. How you missed putting an Evangelion in the bottom left corner just to really rile up the superfans all, "no but they're angels ararrgh"

  4. BattleTech is very much on the Tank corner, though quad-mechs like the Scorpion and Tarantula are on the Beetle side of that corner. There's also the Celestial series on the Angel side of it, but they're from the 2000s, so Those Kinds of veteran players won't mention them. Bit of a shame.

  5. This is a real good chart.

I think the Labors in PatLabor would all naturally be clustered at the top, they all feel like heavy construction equipment first and foremost

  6. Please note that, except for the lone Wanzer up there, I have represented exactly 2 series in this diagram lol You guys should be the change you want to see in the world and make the triangle more complete!!

  7. There's a reason tanks have tracks and are as low as possible. They just peek over cover with the optics and gun, and sometimes just shoot though the berm they're hiding behind (the RH-120 is a hell of a gun). If you get a lucky shot and make the enemy tank throw a track, it's a pillbox gun w/3 MGs.
