  1. And Tories, Reform and Labour obsessively compete for the votes of the 29%, leaving the rest of us to go fuck ourselves, I suppose.

  2. But will it be a set-back for that really annoying politician, Nigel Garage?

  3. It's like the seventies. Joining the EU to help the economic situation, which is a bit dire.

The EU's main benefit to Britain is the increased trade opportunities.

  4. The electorate should have figured out they were being played back then

Frustrating that developing nations across the board have manipulation so easy to do - lie to voters and limited news/media ever challenging it and calling it out

  5. This is irrelevant if there was a referendum the question would be do we wish to rejoin not do we wish we had remained the two things are miles apart

  6. Proving what I always say - the things the US and GB have in common tend to be the shittiest things like BREXIT, MAGA, and other right wing shit. Our welfare system is based on medieval poor laws from England.

  7. Brexiters were generally older, so many will have died since 2016. Many more young people now have the vote and the young were always pro-EU. I think Rejoin would hammer Stay Out if a referendum were held now.

  8. In a true democracy our government would have started the process of rejoining the EU. Unfortunately we don't live in a true democracy and the only person whose opinion counts is Starmer.

  9. Bit too late for regrets from these folk. It'll take another 20+ years to get back in, and even then, it won't be on the very favourable deal we enjoyed before we left..

  10. In a universe where time travel wasnโ€™t an impossibility this fact might be relevantโ€ฆ

But in the universe we currently occupy I fail to see why this is a relevant object to post let alone write about. Brexit was backed, voted for, happened and there is no way to put the jack back in the box.

  11. The poll has some indicative value, but it was not made in the middle of a campaign. The key question is 'what would be the result of a referendum held now after 3 months of campaigning?' Depends on the persuasive power of the 2 sides' arguments on relatively low information voters. Not clear.

  12. โ€ฆ and here was me thinking that one of the advantages of democracy is to give people the chance at the ballot box to correct their former vote choice. In this case itโ€™s crystal clear but we wouldnโ€™t want to upset Reform now would we?

  13. It doesn't matter, we aren't having a second referendum, it's political suicide. Blame the idiots who voted for Brexit, despite the facts stating it was clearly a moronic idea.

    1
  14. Only 29%? Only?! Sounds like a solid base to form the foundations of a strong rightwing populist party based on gaslighting and misinformation ... even after all the evidence of the abject failure of Brexit they're 1/2 way to a parliamentary majority. I despair for the UK.

  15. So roughly 22% of UK voters are malleable idiots. You see that here in America...Russians come, run a huge propaganda campaign pulling at the inherent racism of many low educated white people. The vote for the racist choice thinking it will return them to some mythological non-existent White

    1
  16. Which shows that society will always have at least 29% which are stupid, racists or both

    0
  17. 29% is an indication that too many of the general population are idiots. How anyone can look at the outcome of Brexit and NOT think it has been an unmitigated disaster, needs to have their head examined AND/OR they are fucking racists!

  18. Bin Brexit & Rejoin The European Union without any more obvious political time wasting! The requirement to return as a full EU partner is not for temporary politicians to make -71% Plus of Voting is No Surprise! Brexit & itโ€™s Political Followers are responsible for The Incalculable Brexit UK Damage:

  19. You guys should have known it would be a disaster when crazy Trump supported it.

  20. Media manipulated democracy is a total disaster

From general election manipulation propagands to the Brexit vote brainwashing

It all needs a system reset

    0
  21. Yet over 30% planning on voting for Reform because Labour STILL wonโ€™t make the case that Brexit was a con and a disaster, that the rightwing populism it unleashed has done tremendous harm and that trusting its biggest cheerleader with the future of the country is therefore a very bad idea.

    0
  22. That's why it was so important for them to get it done as quickly as possible and then start dynamiting bridges, because people actually liked the benefits of being in the EU even although they didn't know they were members' perks.

  23. How many signatures are required in Blighty to get a bill into parliament or into a vote?

    0
  24. Incredible and annoying, you can tell someone a thousand times, but they still go ahead and do it anyway. Then later they are sorry but everyone pays the price. FAFO, this is the USA in 10 years but the damage is going to be multi generational.

  25. "Peter Stefanovic Only 29% would back Brexit now"

If only someone close to Starmer would print this out and shove it under Starmer's nose.

    0
  26. 29% - but 8% said they didn't know how they would vote and 11% said they would not vote (as it would be a waste of their time ?). Not to mention the poll wasn't clear that joining now would mean, under the Copenhagen Criteria, adopting the โ‚ฌ instead of the ยฃ as the UK currency. So dream on ๐Ÿ˜‚

  27. I canโ€™t believe 29% still think Brexit was a good idea ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

  28. Who cares? Certainly not us ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ EU27/450m.

What is the purpose of polls on decisions of the past that cannot be corrected for several decades, if only for the UK lacking suitability due to failing to meet 50% of our ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ accession criteria?

  29. With the EU having gone overboard Nazi/Zรฌonรฌst/Fascist, I seriously doubt that.

  30. Just shows how many stupid people around. Anyone could have seen it was going a be a disaster but most people are just plain stupid!

    0
  31. I knew and stated at the time that BREXIT is/was a stupid idea and would harm Britain.

  32. Canโ€™t believe the Remainers are still โ€˜at itโ€™. Nothing to see here. Move on.

    0
  33. Also though, Reform voters: โ€œIโ€™m sick of politicians breaking their promises, screwing me and mine over, and just feathering their own nests. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m voting for Farageโ€ฆโ€

  34. Continuedโ€ฆ system that puts PEOPLE before PROFITS has the SLIGHTEST chance of rescuing humanity from the Tech oligarchs who want to rule over a world split into districts & they rule over all humans beneath them!

  35. Deregulated capitalism + a predator class that will destroy the earth before they give up their wealth is the problem! Brexit did a fantastic job of highlighting this & no matter what happens NOTHING will get better until the capitalists & ALL who nourish it are utterly destroyed & an economic:-

  36. Excepting for millionaires why would any sane person back brexit? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™„

    0
  37. 29% of people continue to wear blinkers despite all the evidence and lies about Brexit. Thereโ€™s no hope for them and this country whilst Labour fail to address the problems caused by it.

    0
  38. Brexit was another empty promise of rightwing populists who have nothing to offer but negativity and destruction.

  39. I got a 7 day time out on FB for calling Boris Johnson a "sheep-shagging wanker"...imagine that, punished for telling the truth.

  40. Don't worry, white people can always be counted on to parlay their bedwetting fear of brown people to further facilitating more fascism. And the oligarchs know that's their easiest route to maintain power. Note from an American white person watching our country burn to the ground.

  41. The table was forced the other way through constant media manipulation, social media frenzies (often foreign backed) and ignorance. Itโ€™s just returning to its natural position.

  42. The unicorns I bought online never arrived.

I've been told that it was the fault of Lefty Remainers stealing them in transit or possibly the useless Conservative couriers for losing them.

Farage has reassured me that he's got plenty more unicorns in stock, so l have ordered more from him today ๐Ÿคช

  43. I'm amazed it's that high, but i suppose the political class should be factored into that number. If anyone in power or has influence is reading, please take note. The majority want to return to CM at least, and economic benefits make a really easy decision, even with bbc / Farage shilling.

  44. โ€˜Only.โ€™

29% of fuck-wits still engaging with society still worries me.

    0
  45. Go back to EU. Just do it.

It will be better for you and for the (still reasonably) sane part of the world.

    1
  46. And that 29% will vote for Farage and because of our idiotic voting system, they will put him in power and then the will sell out the whole nation to his billionaire mates.

    0
  47. Only 129% of statistics are 99.9% madeupium.

If you ask the crowd in a Chelsea vs Arsenal, almost 0.0% would admit to being Man City supporters.

    0
  48. Nigel Farage and Friends gaslight UK voters about the EU and Brexit. Now they're paying a price for the policies they agreed too. America is headed down a similar path. Trump's Fascist Republican Party is eroding our democracy to empower Fascist Oligarchs like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel. #resist

  49. If only they'd have listened in 2016. So much irreparable damage done. And the idiots are still listening to the Reform company! They never learn; they never see!

    0
  50. And yet reform regularly gets high polling numbers. Are there reform or Tory voters that are in the reject Brexit camp. I don't think so. Is polling just bullshit?

    1
  51. The referendum was to leave the EU, what followed was decisions as instructed by the sponsors of the politicians, as it has been for over 50 years. Nothing has been done to benefit the 99.9%, only to turn multi-millionaires into billionaires and politicians into multi-millionaires... Power corrupts!

    0
  52. Unfortunately, as Reform have demonstrated, 29% is enough to win quite a lot of seats in the Westminster Parliament. Maybe not a majority, but definitely a large and obstructive minority.

    0
  53. In 2016, out of a total #UK pop of 70m, ONLY 17m voted for the #BrexitDisaster. ๐Ÿ‘Ž It continues to ruin our #economy, isolating us from our neighbours. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ To restore prosperity, we must #RejoinEU.

    0
  54. Thing is Peter it would have been better not to have left in the first place. I fear the road back will be long and difficult. Doubt I will live to see it.

    0
  55. But over 29% say they would vote Reform, which was Farage's only contribution, with economic damage. So what are the proReform, regret-Brexit people motivated by? Is it to stop the boats we didn't have before Brexit? Sooner we give 16yearolds the vote the better. They don't read the Express.

  56. Watching from the outside .... if the Labour party is to survive?

    1. Starmer must be kicked to the curb by an overwhelming number of its MPs.
    2. Brexit must be voted on and repealed.
    3. Quit freezing poor pensioners, let protesters have their say, and clean up your waters.

  57. If you add in compliance with Schengen, adoption of the Euro and acceptance of the EU tariff deal with the USA, it's not so clear cut.

If we are going to be in the EU shouldn't we be really in?

Let's ask to join and then negotiate to see what we could put to the people.

    #ProEU
