One of the panels at Socialism 2025 featured a long-time brilliant organizer and comrade Paula Rojas who said at one point: "Some of us in this room will be imprisoned or killed in the next few years." It was a room full of activists and organizers & it seemed to quiet the room.

i think people need to understand that's the way it has been and will continue to be. most if not all significant figures in protest movements were at the very least beaten within an inch of their life and thrown in the slammer dozens of times
